Privacy Policy

SwipeBin ("we", "us", "our") makes a macOS app for organizing files. The short version: SwipeBin runs on your Mac, never uploads your files, and we collect only the minimum needed to sell you a license and keep it working.

Your files never leave your Mac

SwipeBin reads and previews files only in the folders you choose, entirely on your device. Your files — their contents, names, and previews — are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us or anyone else. Deleting a file moves it to the macOS Trash; nothing is sent anywhere.

What we collect

• Your email address — when you buy a license and so we can send you your license key.
• A hashed device identifier — when you activate a license, the app sends a one-way hash derived from your Mac's hardware identifier, along with your license key, to our activation server. It is used only to enforce that each key activates one Mac, and cannot be reversed to identify your hardware.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or any telemetry inside the app, and we never sell or share your data.

Trial and license storage

Your free-trial start date and your activated license are stored in a local file on your Mac (in Application Support). The signed license token is kept there so the app can verify it offline, without contacting any server during normal use.

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted services to operate, each processing data only to provide its service to us:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — stores license activations (your email, hashed device id, activation date) so keys stay single-use.
• Resend — sends your license-key email.
• Vercel — hosts this website (standard server logs).
• Google Fonts — serves the fonts on this website (Google may log the request per its policy).

Data retention

We keep your purchase record and license activation for as long as needed to support your lifetime license — for example, to re-send your key or move your license to a new Mac. You may ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing vinnyngbusiness@gmail.com.

Children

SwipeBin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change to reflect it.
